this is the only way to go for the price - still having some workflow issues but I’m still early in this app. . .in a word: phenomenal - this is from someone who truly regrets bailing on medium format to go digital 20 years ago. . .

Had a photo in Aperture, moved it into Tonality and then move it to Lightroom……… wow! Great program

Does good B&W conversions — no complaints for the money it is a bargain. HOWEVER, when you view this on the Mac App Store you will get a nag screen prompting you to get version 2 and you can’t get past it any easy way. You can’t force quit (window is hidden), you can’t quit the app, you can’t even shut down your computer without agreeing to visit their website. Ironically I was just seeking information to recommend it to a friend. Sorry, MacPhun you lost me with this nagware.

I have been looking at this app for far too long. Now that I have it I am kicking myself for not getting it sooner. So easy and fun.

This is an amazing app to use. At first i was afraid of how it would turn out. Ive never used any expensive photo editing software but this is a great and cheap alternative. The features and a larg selection of filters are amazing. It makes my photos POP! Features are easy to use and once you play around with it for a while it’s easy to understand. Quick and easy.

I’ve discovered that you can work with color images in Tonality as well, though it is not its prime functionality. All the tools are really fantastic and are worth more than you really pay. It’s way more than in any other monochrome editor on the App Store (I’ve tried free demos of all and Tonality is by far the best). I highly recommend it if you really like taking pictures.

Best software for the black&white image processing. I really like it.

I’m only learning how to make nice photos. And Tonality has everything you need to be creative. It’s easy to use and I love the results I get. Highly recommend it to everyone!

The more I use Tonality, the more I fall in love with it. The app has a great UI, so it’s easy to navigate through it, and the ready-made presets are awesome. It feels that developers have put a lot of hard work into making this app intuitive and easy to use. It’s the best black & white photo editor that I’ve ever used.

MacPhun puts all their heart, soul, and technical skills into their products. I have them all, love them all, and use them as my go-to editing apps. The Tonality update is great! Can’t wait for the next MacPhun product that surprises me.

This app is amazing for creating beautiful photos. i use it for creating photos for my Instagram account and everyone love it.

A dedicated B&W app that is this easy and powerful? wow!!! all I can say is I love it. I wonder if the PRO version is any better??

I’ve only exported 6 photos and the app has covered itself with a “review me” pop up 2 times. I’ve hardly used the app enough to give it a decent review. However, in an effort to stop this pop up, I am reviewing the app. With as little experience as I have with the app, I don’t feel I can justify anything more than 3 stars.

I am a professional photography and cannot begin to speak highly of this app. What I can do within the app in minutes would require hours in the darkroom! Its drawbacks are the frequent popups! Also, saving an image is rather futsy! It should be easier. Worth the price...

I love machohun plugins andt this one is great. I typically do not do a lot of B&W stuff but the range of Tonality is so big that I use this all the time for cool effects on my pictures. I highly highly recommend.

As a seasoned Pro, I’ve tried dozens of photo editors, and nothing compares to this one in regards black and white photography. It is by far better than Adobe Lightroom or Aperture, and better than similar editors by Pixelmator and Topaz. Sorry guys, but Tonality is definitely much more advanced in speed, features and design. I can’t talk about other products, but this is a total winner.

I am a fan of black and white photos. So when I discovered this app on the App store I was so amazed by its functionality. It is so simple but powerful at the same time. Not only Editor’s choice - it’s my choice for a lifetime. As an extension in Photos this super App became even more awesome.

Very powerful and simple. Tons of tools for black and white photo editing and enourmous amount of tricks that I keep discovering. I am very glad I’ve purchased this software. For those who are still deciding, get it and don’t look back. All the tools you see in the description are there, and you can also get a free trial on their site (that’s what I did first).

The app does what it says and finally brings professional photo editing features to the Mac App Store. Other b&w apps that I’ve tried so far look like toys, but Tonality gives you true superpowers. I’ve tried it first from the developer website, and purchased the next day without waiting for the end of the trial. If you want to give fine art, black and white look to your photos, you should consider purchasing this app. It has so many useful presets. I am seriously thinking of getting more apps by macphun now. PS: Great to be able to use it as photos extensions.

This photo editing is quickly becoming my favorite! It’s easy to use and the end product is amazing.
