Schönes S/W Tool

… aber leider kann ich ein Foto nicht in Aperture öffnen. Das funktioniert nur mit der Trial Version von Tonality Pro.

Awesome B&W processing software

Love it. It gives me possibility to work in layers. I can also work on each colour tone separately for processing. Great software for the price!

G R E A T !

I use Aperture to edit my photos and I do like to make some striking monochrome photos from time to time. This app takes the pain out of the process as it is centered around producing monochrome pics! Just love it! I’m pretty sure all of what Tonality does can be done in Aperture, Lightroom or Photoshop but this app does it way quicker. Grab it! Especially since it’s half price at this moment!

Just get it!

This is a wonderful piece of software. Especially if you are looking for different ways of converting your photos to black and white. Very easy but powerful. Lots of presets and the ability to tweek each one is even better. Well worth the price!

Love it!

I’ve had this app for about 10 days now and have been playing with it using a variety of files and presets — outdoor, portrait, architecture. I love it! I loved black and white back before computers, spent hours in the darkroom. I can see myself shooting photos just to play with them using Tonality. I’ve already printed and framed one of my favourites. Thanks!

Terrific.

Easy to use; Fast. Nice controls. It’s not Lightroom, mind you, so keep expectations in check. But a terrific application.

Beautiful app!

This is a very impressive software I have ever used. Although I have photoshop, I still think this one is a must have for all enthusiastic photographers! It is very convenient to use and easy to understand, especially with the row of different toning effects showing in front of you. Get it!

Great App

I have to admit that the purchase of this App was a complete impusle buy. It was one of the best purchases I have ever made. I am so impressed with the performance and ease of use. Well done and well worth the investment!

Great Program

Maybe it’s just me, but it seems like a lot of programs don’t do black and white very well. This program does. Easy to use interface that ranges from really effective presets to full customization. Love it!

A Bargain!

Very impressive. I normally use Photoshop but Tonality is a great app for black and white photo editing. Easy to use and yet very powerful. Worth many times the price.

Awesome app!

After searching everywhere for a suitable app, I found Tonality. Great software for working in monochrome. It offers a great variety of options to tweak your image just like I want it!

Unbelievable...

I was very surprised of the number of parameters and of their user-friendliness. I’m a big fan of Mac Phun Software and my only disappointment was Snapheal. All the others, are just incredible, especially FX Photo Studio Pro and Intensify. Well, they sure have another winner with Tonality. Get it, while it is on sale ! Now, with the new free update ( Version : 1.2.0 ), it is more powerful and precise than ever ! There is quite a lot to learn… it is very powerful, I’m still working on it ! You can’t go wrong !

Easy to use, Impressive Results

It is easy these days to change an image from color to black and white, but this really kicks it up a notch allowing easy customization for creative results tailored to the specific demands of the image. If you have used Intensify, the interface is an easy one to master. Loving all of the different presets, and adjustments that can be done within them.

Jack of no trades, but a master of one.

It does one thing, and one thing spectacularly well - breathe life into black and white photos. I’ve tried countless presets (both homebrew and created by others) in LR and PS, but despite the raw power of those two programs, when it came to B&W, it didn’t come close to what I envisioned in my head. Having grown up in Eastern Europe, I longed for those gritty, imperfect BW tones which documented my childhood, yet PS and LR always came up with a look that was far too polished and “technically perfect”. While AlienSkin Exposure if my go-to for achieving the look I want for colour photos (it’s BW options are quite decent as well), the far more limited Tonality app is by far the gold standard when it comes to the beauty that is B&W.

Great App, but...

For the money, this is one great app for rendering B&W. Many great features allow you to get the look you want from a simple selection of a preset, or you can drill right down using multiple tools to get exactly the look you want. My only beef: As a plug in to Photos, it is slow, even on my new MacBook Pro w/SSD. It’s not that bad, but not what you’d expect from a new tool like this. Kudos to the developers; this is a great add-on to Photos, and it works even faster as a stand-alone app.

Stunning

The effects and enhancements Tonality creates is amazing. In a few short moments I changed a ho-hum into a dramatic image changing the entire attitude of the photo. Thanks Phil

The extension for El Capitan doesn’t fully work yet!

One of the best feature offered by this app that motivated me to purchase it was the extension for El Capitan. But I was disapointed to learn that the filters and work you do on your photos with this app doesn’t show in Photos for IOS (iphone, iPad)! Since the iCloud and sync capabilities of Photos is the core and crucial functionality of Photos (as opposed to the old iPhotos) then if Tonality promotes that it can be used as an extension, then the edited work must be shown across multiple devices… but that is not the reality. If MacPhun fix that, I will change my ratings, because other than that the app is very good.

Not bad

It’s pretty good software for the price, however the constant bug to get you to write a review is pretty amateur. In fact, it is prompting me to write this mostly negatitive review in hopes that it will stop prompting me to write a review. I encourage the developers of this software to stop this annoying behaviour.

Nice!

Great App and easy to use!

Outstanding

A wonderful aid to the creative process. A wide range of presets let you quickly experiment with all sorts of looks. Then you can tone down the effect, or tweak it to your heart’s desire with many precision tools, all laid out logically. Highly recommended, along with Intensify (from the same company).
